The concept of ‘letting go’ is a prevalent one. Releasing negative beliefs, past hurts or stuff that no longer serves us, is a wise move. It frees up space for new experiences, it allows the potential for all things better to flow into our world.
But there’s one scenario that kinda throws that concept right on its head. There IS a time in your life when holding ON for dear life, is the most important move you’ll ever make.
When you’re faced with an epic challenge or an heartbreaking circumstance … serious illness, unfathomable grief, tough decision or some other life-changing experience … when you’ve got no inner juice left, your will to push forward is fading and all you want to do is give up. To you, I say this.
HOLD ON to your future.
GRAB A HOLD of the brightest future you can imagine for yourself AND that version of you that resides there – your FUTURE SELF. The one that you dream about, the one that you long for, the one … who is healthy, confident, energetic and truly, truly happy. The one who can do anything and be anyone they want to be.
This person knows everything you’ve been through. They’ve witnessed your disappointment, they’ve cried your tears. They KNOW you’ve paid your dues.
When you’re surrounded by struggle, trying to visualise or even contemplate another way to exist is not always easy. I know firsthand how hard it can be. When all you see is circumstances you do not want. An amazing future? That dream life? How can it be?
But, I also know…
If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done. If you really want to be healthy, whole and free from suffering, you have to make a change … at some point you have to take a chance.
You have to decide to believe that a brighter future IS possible. You have to decide you will do WHATEVER it takes to get there.
So do it. Grab a hold of that Future Self version of you. The one who KNOWS how to overcome. The one who knows that ALL things ARE possible. The one who knows how to be free.
So go ahead, grab a hold. GRAB. A. HOLD.
Take a chance. DO NOT let go.
And your Future Self will guide you to your destiny.

I so agree with you… there are times when not to let go! I have as I am sure many of us have times we wanted to but didn’t. The work I do takes to many who through no fault of their own let go.
We may not always see our future … regardless we should NOT let go .. because today is just that … we can’t see around the corner. From where you were through the times and hardships you have traveled .. it has been nothing but progress and strengthening. If we can only give that faith to others.
